Charcoal painting















Introduction:

charcoal is the blackish residue consisting of impure carbon obtained by removing water from animal and vegetation substances. Charcoal is used in art for drawing making rough sketches in painting, and is one of the possible media for making a parsemage. It must usually be preserved by the application of a fixative.
Artists generally utilize charcoal in three forms: Hard,Medium and soft.

Method for using charcoal pencils:

A special textured paper is available for Charcoal painting.

Desired pictures has to be drawn with normal pencil very lighlty.

Avoid using eraser while doing intial drawing as well during the shading.

Start using the medium charcoal pencil for shading.

Where ever a dark shade is required ,one can use the hard pencil.

After finishing the picture , fixture to be sprayed immediately to avoid smudging .

Different colour charcoal pencils are available nowadays.

Its a real fun working with charcoal pencils.
